Our chef’s passion was born at the heart of his family, where good food has always held a special place in everyday life. From a young age, he discovered the magic of cooking beside his grandmother — a woman of taste and tradition who taught him the foundations of culinary art: respect for flavors, patience, and a love for detail.

Later, when his mother opened the family restaurant in Lagos, his calling grew stronger. Surrounded by aromas, recipes, and the rhythm of authentic cuisine, he realized that gastronomy was more than an inheritance — it was his life’s path.

Naturally, he went on to study culinary arts at the university, refining the knowledge passed down by his grandmother and mother and giving it a modern touch. Today, he brings all his skill and creativity to Mama’s Chop, blending tradition and innovation to serve dishes that tell a story — one of roots, passion, and sharing..
